Mark your calendars for the 2017 Canadian International AutoShow

The 2017 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, presented by the Toronto Star and Wheels.ca., at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, opens next week. The AutoShow runs from Feb. 17th to 26th.

The 2017 AutoShow will feature more than 1,000 cars, trucks, SUVs, concept cars, exotics, classics and Formula One racers, including Hyundai’s line-up of award-winning 2017 models.

The 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT, which was developed through testing on the Nurburgring race track in Germany, will make its debut at the 2017 AutoShow. The 2018 Elantra GT includes a 161-horsepower four-cylinder engine plus an optional 1.6 litre turbo-four with 201 horsepower. Also making its AutoShow debut, the 2018 Accent featuring Hyundai’s signature cascading grill, slimmer rear bumper, sweeping roofline and a sharp line running the length of the car.

The AutoShow offers something for automotive enthusiasts of all ages and interests. Auto Exotica will feature all of the Exotic Marques available across the country and rare exotics owned by Canadian collectors.

Art and the Automobile returns this year with an entire room dedicated to celebrating Canada’s most important cars and collectors.

Classic muscle car fans won’t want to miss Ontario’s Legendary Motorcar Company, with a collection of powerful muscle cars from the ’60s and ’70s.

Electric Vehicle (EV) technology will highlight the newest EV vehicles and technologies in ‘Electric Avenue,’ where visitors can test drive EV cars through Plug’n Drive.

For anyone interested in careers in the retail automobile industry, the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association will promote its Career Star Education Program and a ‘Career Corner’ staffed by college representatives and students.

On Wednesday, Feb. 22nd, the AutoShow will host Heroes Welcome Day, honouring and recognizing police officers, firefighters, paramedics and armed forces personnel.

Family Day is on Monday, February 20th and is presented by Allstate Insurance with special guests, activities for the family and exclusive prize giveaways.

A free bus shuttle offers continuous service throughout the 10-day event, transporting visitors between the MTCC’s North and South buildings, and Wheelchair Accessible shuttle services are also available.

New for 2017 – Seniors discount are now offered on all weekdays for just $15.00 for those aged 60+. Valid on weekdays only- Friday February 17 & Wednesday February 22- Friday February 24 (excludes weekends, Super Tuesday and Family Day).
